HAPPY EASTER FROM POLAND :)
2nd letter of Our new Russian friends:
Hello to boys and girls from Russia,
We a lot of things learned from your 1 letter, you are a very good class. We wanted to learn how you celebrated Halloween, Christmas? How do you celebrate this holidays in a class?
In the winter we often walked, we were cheerful, we played and had fun.
The last 2 weeks it was warm, but on March 17 it rained in the morning, and snowed after a while. Now it is not so warmly.
We would like to recognize you even closer, we like to communicate with you. You are cool .
We wait for your response letter :)
Your friends from Russia, 6th A :З

Dear Pen Pals,
We have been having some trouble with receiving and sending
e-mails so we were very happy to hear from you again. Carnival sounds very exciting! Do you have a swimming pool at your
school? We don’t have a swimming pool,
but we do have a basketball court and soccer field. Do you get to do lots of projects in your
school? We do. Our teacher told us that we might get the
chance to Skype with you in the future.
We think that will be fun.
Since
we last talked to you we have had many celebrations also. In February we celebrated Valentine’s Day. We exchanged cards, candy and teddy
bears. We made cards for our reading
buddies in kinder. We also celebrated Dr.
Martin Luther King Day. This day is
important to us because Dr. King was a very famous Civil Rights leader, here in
America . He fought for equal rights for all people. Another celebration we had in February was
Presidents’ Day. We celebrate
President’s Day in this month because two of our most famous presidents’ (Abraham
Lincoln, and George Washington) birthdays are in this month.
We
celebrated Read Across America on March 2, which was Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Dr. Seuss wrote many well known books
including The Cat in the Hat. Our librarian invited professional hockey players
to read to us. It was a great
experience because we got their autographs.
March 17, was St Patrick’s Day.
On this day we usually wear green, but if we don’t, we can get pinched
by our friends. We had Picture Day where
all the sixth graders took a panoramic picture together. We have four new students in our
classes. Our school had a penny drive
and we collected over three thousand dollars to help cancer patients. We are going on vacation for Spring break and
we will be back at school on March 31. When we return to school we will be doing our
state testing. Do you have to take state
tests? We look forward to learning how
to Skype with you and will write to you again in April.
Sincerely,
West Randall 6th Graders.
California's friends new letter:

Dear Spain Pen Pals,
We
received your letter/PPT. We are sorry
we haven’t answered your letter right away.
We have been very busy lately.
Tio day sounds like lots of fun.
We had a great Christmas too! One
tradition that we do for Christmas that is similar to yours but slightly
different is we have the Three Wise Men too. We call it Dia De Los Santos Magos
and on this day some families will share a bread called a “Rosca” that has a
tiny plastic baby called “El Nino Dios” inside of it. If you get a piece of the
bread with the doll inside you are supposed to host a dinner in your home and
invite everyone.
Another
tradition we have here is that on Christmas morning we open our gifts from
under brightly decorated Christmas trees, and then we have a feast with our
families. Not only did we celebrate
Christmas at home with our families, our whole school had a celebration
too! It was called Winter Festival. We had fun.
There were so many treats and games there and we also got a chance to sing
and perform for our parents.
We were on vacation for three weeks after that. When we returned to school it was a new year.
In our class we talked about New Year’s Resolutions and set new goals for
ourselves. One of our goals is to try to
write to you at least once a month. We
would also like to spend more time with our kindergarten buddies. Our next holiday here is Dr. Martin Luther
King Day. Dr. King was a very important
civil rights leader who fought for freedom and equality for everyone. We will write to you again next month. Will your class do anything special in
February for Valentines Day?
Sincerely,
West Randall 6th graders.

Hello! How
are you?
We want to
tell you about Sacanta, our town. It is very small, but in spite of that it has
two churches, two schools, one long and deep swimming pool. There are also many
clothes shops, a library, a museum, a police station and much more…
Here we
show you some pictures of Sacanta. The first is of the day that snowed and the
second is our little lake where you can go fishing or have a barbecue at noon.
We expect a
little note to tell us about your city.
We hope you
liked our letter.
We are
anxious and wait for your answer.
Bye, bye!!

you can see in the picture we sent you.
Bugulma 5thG grade children's letter.
Hello boys and
girls!
Thank you for
the nice pictures of celebrating Castanyada. They are very interesting.
We are all fine.
It is winter in our town. Everything is in snow now. Our winter holidays will
begin on the 29-th of December and last for 2 weeks. Before the New Year we’ll
decorate our school. There will be a big New Year tree in our school gym. Every
year our elder school children arrange a New Year party with fairy-tales for
younger boys and girls.
We have a
uniform at school (we wrote about it). Also students wear green ties. That means
that we are the successors of Tatarstan. In Bugulma nobody wears what he wants.
School uniform is a must. It is sad, because everybody must put on the same
clothes. As PE uniform, we wear white T-shirts and black shorts. Also we have
badges. In the mornings when we come to school we are checked if we put on
badges. It is for our safety. There are our photos, form, and the stamp of the
school.
There are a lot
of plants in our classroom: geranium, fuchsia, begonia, and others.
It’s a pity, but
we have no friends in Spain. We would like you to come to Russia.
We have a lot of
subjects and they are very interesting. Our favorites are English, Geography
and History of Russia. Usually we have 6 lessons. We come to school at 7.40
a.m. Every morning we do morning exercises. The lessons begin at 8 and finish
at 1.25 p.m.
Have you got badges at school?
Is there a New Year Tree in your school?
Do you do morning exercises at school?
When do your lessons begin and finish?
What are your favourite subjects?
Hope to hearing
from you soon.

Hello from
Russia!
We are 27 students

Tanya.) and 10 boys (Iliya, 2 Nikitas, Ilnaz, Ayaz, Erik, Evgeniy, Andrey,
Danila, Alexander).
We like our
school. We have 12 subjects in our timetable. Our favourite subjects are
English, History, Maths, Russian and Tatar. There are two state languages in
our republic: Russian and Tatar.
The most famous
streets in Russia are Molodezhnaya, Lenina, Sovetskaya, Gagarina, Shkolnaya and
others. As for typical food, there is a great variety of it. In our republic we
like plov, noodle soup, meat dumplings (pelmeni), ishpishmak (a triangle-shaped
pie with chopped peppered meat, potatoes and some onion). We like tea with
sweet pastries.
People in Russia
like New Year best of all. Students have 2-weeks holidays and adults don’t go
to work for several days.
The most famous
people in Russia are the president Vladimir Putin and the prime-minister Dmitry
Medvedev.
We like to
search the Internet, watch TV. We watch Disney, Russia, 1, Karusel and other
channels.
Last week we
celebrate Mother’s day in our class. We arrange a concert for our mothers and
make a clip for them. We like to take part in different school activities. This
school year we have already took part in the Battle of talents, where we sing
and dance.
And what about
you? Do you take part in school activities? What are your favorite holidays?
What is interesting in your school?
Best wishes,
Your Russian pen-friends. Let's learn more about Tatarstan and the school kids!
Hello, dear friends!
How are you? What’s the weather like in
Spain now? In Russia it is raining.
This week we have a rest. Our autumn
holidays began. The 2-nd term will start on the 11-th of November. And you?
When will you have vacations?
We like our school. It hasn’t got name.
It is called secondary state school №3 of Bugulma municipal region. Our school
is big. There are 3 floors, two gyms, a canteen, an assembly hall and lots of
classrooms in the school. There are different sport schools, swimming pools in
our town too.
We would like to know about your school
uniform. Do you wear a uniform at school? In our school we do. The colours of
our school uniform are white and black. Also we wear green ties.
Last week we went to the military
museum. We were told about three wars: the world Great Patriotic war, wars in
Chechnya and Afghanistan. As you know, Russia won victory in the war with
Germany in 1941-1945. A guide told us about life and families of citizens of
our town, who took part in those wars. Many of them died. We liked the
excursion very much, especially boys. We put parachutes and military clothes
on, held guns, saw private photos and things.
We haven’t visited Spain. And have your
ever been to Russia? Have you ever been to excursions with your class? Did you
go to the countryside with your class?
You asked if we have got pets in our
school. Unfortunately, we haven’t. We would like to have a small zoo and take
care of animals. It would be great!
Good-bye. We’ll wait for your answer.
Your Russian pen-friends. Form 6B.
Look! New friends from California.
Dear Spain Pen Pals,
We hope that you are having
a wonderful school year so far. We are a
group of students from Fontana, California in the USA and we go to school at
West Randall Elementary. Even though
we’re 6th graders and we go to an Elementary school, we’re still
considered “Middle Schoolers”. We have three classes and three teachers in 6th
grade: Mr. and Mrs. Romero and Mrs. Beaty.
.Our “homeroom teacher” is Mrs. Romero.
There are 27 students in our class and our ages are from 10-12 years
old. In our school we learn Language
Arts, Math, Science, Music, Social Studies, and we get to do P.E.
We enjoy reading a lot at
our school! This month we are having
Storybook Character Day. We get to dress
up as our favorite storybook character and do book reviews and other related
activities for half of the day. Our
school is creative and very different from other schools. What makes us creative and different from
other schools is that teachers and students work together to make enjoyable
activities. Is your school fun and
creative? How many teachers do you have
in your grade? What do you study or
learn at your school? What’s the name of
your school?
Sincerely,
West Randall 6th graders.
